Springfield Pottery will present "Image and Clay". an exhibition of current work by Chicago artist and author Paul Andrew Wandless September 4-5, 2009. Opening reception for the artist will be held on Friday, Sept. 4 from 6-10pm during the First Friday Art Walk.

On Saturday, Sept 5 from 10-5pm, Paul will give a demonstration workshop teaching how to create imagery on clay through the use of screen, relief, decal and mono printing techniques. Many techniques from his book, Image Transfer on Clay will be explored in detail. Fee for the workshop is $50 and space is limited. Call the studio today to reserve your space...417-864-4677.

New Class Session Begins...Now Enrolling     

The next session of classes will begin the week of July 20th and continue through the week of September10th.  All classes are 8 weeks long and students come once a week to their three hour class.  No prior experience is ever required for enrollment. First Friday Mini-Makes at Springfield Pottery
We are excited to about the success of Springfield Pottery's new offering-MiniMakes.This fun and spontaneous offering provides you the opportunity to drop in to Springfield Pottery while on your monthly Art Walk stroll and create a quick mini creation of your own. Mini-Makes are open to all ages and we welcome any level of clay experience (including NONE). Come play in the clay with us every First Friday from 6-10pm where we will offer a new object in clay for you to make. For a small fee of $10, you will be guided through the Mini-Make project of the month and we will have it fired and ready for you in 14 days. August Mini-Make: LEAF TRAYS.
